Liverpool vs Arsenal: Which team will give their fans an early Christmas gift

Liverpool and Arsenal have both struggled in the league this season. They have both fallen behind in the race for a Champions League spot, which makes this fixture very important. Here are three important questions ahead of Sunday´s big clash.

Will Liverpool grab the last chance to join the top?
Liverpool are seven points behind West Ham in fourth place, while Arsenal are two points behind their London rival. Chelsea and the Manchester teams seem to grab the top three places, which makes the race for the last Champions League qualifying spot even more interesting. A win here would be necessary if Liverpool are to join the race for fourth place.

Can Arsenal get a good result away from home against a top team?
Last season Arsenal lost away to Liverpool, Everton, Manchester City, Man United and Chelsea with a total scoreline of 4-21. Wenger´s team is always strong at the Emirates, but if they´re to be a real title contender they need to start taking points away from home against their top rivals.

Who will cope with the injuries in the best way?
The same old question with these teams. Koscielny, Ramsey, Walcott, Arteta, Wilshere, Özil and Monreal could miss this one for Arsenal, while Sturridge, Johnson, Lovren and Balotelli all could be out for Liverpool. In the absence of Sturridge, Liverpool have struggled to score goals. They did however create a lot of chances against Man United last weekend, and perhaps the 3-1 win to Bournemouth in the Capital One Cup this week was the turning point?
